We also will have money from, after paying the event expenses such as insurance, police, staging, sound system, etc. to give to Whittingham Cancer Center and ACS for breast cancer research! That amount will be announced in another newsletter. Please note that no one on the SPINODYSSEY Committee is paid, and 100% of your checks & cash fund breast cancer research! Online donation pages always stay open, so more contributions are coming in every day!
Our generous hosts of SPINODYSSEY, for the 8th year, and their staff & members for welcoming us the many weeks prior to SPINODYSSEY for set up.
Who hosted our first satellite event on the same day----a four hour Zumba Marathon that was the second top fundraising team as of 3pm Sunday with $61,667!
for allowing us parking in his lot on Sunday . . . and the 600 free oil changes, lube & oil filter coupons in the goody bag.

Dr Sid McCauley & Bill Radoey from Fairfield CT; Judd Delaney of Westport’s Saugatuck Rowing Club; Olivia Stanciu, Maggie Culyer, & Barbara K. from Equinox Darien; Elisa Carvalho of INTENSITY At the Zumba Marathon: Kathy Kordas, Sergiana Bruco, Tony Trujillo, Kim O'Neill, Dr. Jeffrey Pivor, DDS, and Monique Wilson. who donated the Tyvek to cover the entire tennis court of SPIN-O village and provided pizzas for the Goody Bag Stuffing Volunteers and in the Goody Bags they put YoYos, Frizbees & Slinkys . . . and they organized Team Rhona and Raised $22,876! AND donated a NEW BIKE as a Top Fundraiser Prize!!!! WOWOWOWOWOW! Our Village Sponsors: Westport, Darien & Stamfor Robek's teamed up again with yummy smoothies for riders and volunteers! There was Nuskin a/k/a AgeLoc drinks from Laura Felton, Organic Nectars tasty & healthy frozen gelato, H 10 O Drink for men and women, The “Toffee Guy” a/k/a Keishon of PureGoodies, Planet Fuel---bottles all day AND in your goody bag, Coffee from the Coffee Hound & Java Express, Wendy Queen Designs, EAS Myoplex Shakes bottles all day and in your goody bags, and ZICO Coconut Water. : The Volunteer who returned almost 1200 bottles and cans from the event which came to $59.85 . . . he gave it all BACK to the SPINODYSSEY!

A list of sponsors and donors of SPINODYSSEY shop items, items for the goodie bags & silent auction, and day of the event services or cash is posted on all year and will appear soon in the local papers. Check out all the great products and offers from our sponsors in the Fairway Goody Bag! And thank you Cycle Dynamics (Westport) who supplied at cost & assembled the toe cages on 100 pairs of the SPD flat pedals and delivered us 10 more on Saturday when we were short! And donated a bike as a top fundraiser prize! And thank you for the official water bottle. Simply put, without our volunteers, the event would not have been possible. Each of you has been an integral part of what makes SPINODYSSEY so special year after year. And let’s not forget the Staples High School Football Team that set-up Friday night in another record 50 minutes---a job that used to take four hours! Breakdown again was three hours ahead of schedule due to their non-stop manpower along with the Staples H.S. Girls Golf Team! The guys are key to the set up Friday & Saturday and breakdown Sunday the past 6 years! In prior years SPIN-O organizers would not finish cleanup until 10PM Sunday and this year we were out of the building by 6:45 PM! Thank you to the Staples H.S. Cheerleaders who performed with Terri, Joyce and Jenna the last hour, too! AND the Norwalk H.S. Baseball Team stepped up and volunteered at the www.spinodyssey.org to go to the Order Form for the Official SPINODYSSEY Cycling Jersey . . . and click through to see the sizes we have left. For sizing information, log on to . Jerseys are $65 and $15 of the jersey sale is donated to fund breast cancer trials at Whittingham Cancer Center! The nonprofit that SPINODYSSEY operates under is . Fred Ury is one of the co-founders of The Trek and is in the Band DNR that played at SPINODYSSEY! Check out and read about the outdoor ride he organizes that is the sister to SPINODYSSEY. It is Burlington, VT to Portland, ME in August, and 100% of the donations help the research for the AIDS Vaccine being developed at UCLA AIDS Institute and Emory Vaccine Center.
You do not have to ride all the days and it is loads of fun and a great time and great cause.
